Privacy Policy
SleepEcho is designed to keep your private sleep audio on your device. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your recordings for advertising.
Information handled by the app
- Sleep audio and derived events: recordings, sound moments, movement estimates, scores, and reports created during sessions you start.
- Preferences: settings such as reminders, selected sounds, onboarding state, and language.
- Purchase information: product, entitlement, renewal status, transaction events, and a random RevenueCat app user identifier used to provide and restore Premium access.
- Permissions: microphone, motion, and notification permission status where applicable.
How information is used
SleepEcho uses this information to record a session you start, create an on-device sleep summary, play saved moments, remember your preferences, schedule local reminders, restore purchases, and provide Premium features.
Storage and sharing
Sleep audio, detected sound events, reports, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. They leave the app only when you choose to share an audio file or PDF through the system share sheet. SleepEcho does not upload raw sleep audio or report contents to Google Play, Apple, or RevenueCat.
Google Play or Apple processes store purchases. RevenueCat processes subscription status and purchase events so the app can unlock Premium. These providers may process limited device, transaction, network, and diagnostic information under their own policies. SleepEcho does not use an advertising SDK or a production analytics provider.
On Android, SleepEcho uses RevenueCat’s restricted backup agent to help recover the random purchase identifier after reinstalling. The backup agent is not configured to back up sleep recordings, reports, or the SleepEcho database.
Retention and deletion
Your locally stored sleep data remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, or erase the device. You can permanently delete saved recordings, events, and reports from Settings → Delete sleep data. Deleting local sleep data does not cancel a store subscription.
For access or deletion requests involving the random RevenueCat purchase record, email support and include the selectable Purchase support ID shown in Settings. Deleting a RevenueCat customer record does not cancel a store subscription. Google Play, Apple, and RevenueCat may retain transaction records required for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, or operational purposes.
Your choices
You control when recording begins. You can deny or revoke microphone and notification access in Android or iOS system settings. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play or your Apple account. The app also provides Restore Purchases.
Health information
SleepEcho is a general wellness product. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose medical conditions, and should not replace professional medical advice.
Children
SleepEcho is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us.
